1.用於當一句話完全結束時。
2.也可以用於英文單詞的縮寫，如 Mrs., Dr., P.S. 等。
？ 問號 question mark
問號要用在一個直接的問句，而不是間接的。
如 How will you solve the problem？
! 驚嘆號 exclamation mark
感嘆號用於感歎和驚歎的陳述中
； 分號 semocolon
1.與中文一樣，分號用於分隔地位平等的獨立子句。
在某些情況下，使用分號比使用句點更顯出子句之間的緊密聯繫
ex: I realize I need exercise; however, I’ll lie down first to think about it.
2.在句子中如果已經使用過逗點，為了避免歧義的產生，就用分號來分隔相似的內容。
ex: The employees were Tom Hanks, the manager; Jim White; and Dr. Jack Lee.

美國人習慣使用 " " (double quotation marks)

由於英美的引號用法並不一致，著名的文體指南有的建議雙引號內使用單引號，有的則建議單引號內使用雙引號。不過，視寫作者的個人偏好而定，不管採用何種寫法，整篇文章或整份文件須保持一致。

英語標點符號中，最容易搞混的就是我們俗話說的一槓 "dash"
雖然都是一槓，長度也只差一咪咪，實際上用法差很大!!!
- hyphen 連字號
Basically, the hyphen is the shorter mark that is often used to link two or more words together.
It can sometimes be seen at the end of a line to break up a whole word that won’t fit into the space.
用在分開一行中最後未結束的字

用於複合數字、名詞、形容詞、動詞

— dash 破折號
The Dash is the longer line used as punctuation in sentences – coming in between words (as in this sentence).
It can also be used – as here – in pairs.
用於解釋或評論語句的兩端
This house is really beautiful ── the selling price is really high too.
可用於一連串的名詞之前
I need these computer accessories ── a mouse, a printer, a keyboard and a scanner.
